I was recently presented with an issue while using Sharepoint WSS – how to organize folders based on an ordering system of my choosing. Well typically sharepoint folders can’t be organized other than alpha or numeric but I did stumble across this blog by the Sharepoint Guru which describes in detail how to set up ‘Organized Folders’ which has been a huge benefit to my users. They can now sort folders within a document library based on any criteria they choose.  Here is a link to the dated yet still relevant article!
