If you’ve ever landed on a webpage where you can’t read the content because the font is too tiny, fear not! There is an easy way to adjust the font size in your browser. In Internet Explorer 7 & 8, just click on ‘Page’ in the toolbar and choose the ‘Text size’ option. you will then have options to change your font size from ‘smallest’ to ‘largest’. If you’d like to zoom the entire page, images and text, just click the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner to pick the power of the zoom.
If you are using Firefox, you can click on ‘Tools’ in the top menu bar and select options. Next choose the ‘Content’ tab and you will then have options to adjust your font size, type, color and a few other options.
In Google’s Chrome browser, click on the three horizontal lines on the top right next to the address bar. Then choose Settings, and scroll down and click the link for ‘Show advanced settings…’ Next scroll down to the ‘Web content’ area and choose from the 5 font size options.
Alternatively you can use keyboard shortcuts in most browsers. Zoom in and out by pressing and holding the Ctrl key and moving the mousewheel (if you have one). If not, press and hold the Ctrl key and press the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ keys to zoom in or out.
